Apparently they had some sort of data breach and DDoS attack where 31 million accounts were hit and user info was compromised, and now the site is shut down for some time. Unbelievable.

It's a shame the Internet Archive have to shut down forever. A collection of materials forgotten with the passage of time will be lost.

@SingleBHM their socials say they're working on getting it back up with improved security, and that they expect to finish in a matter of days, not weeks. There's no talk about shutting down forever from the team behind it.
