Been having service provider problems.

Who ever heard of service provider not being able to take payments over either the phone or over the Internet? 🤷🏻‍♂️😒

Is that by normal policy or a temporary fault?

I pay for my broadband service by direct-debit. My portable 'phone is PAYG.

@ArishMell temporary I found out. Yet a subcontractor help center employee refused to give me a time period. Just said when the updates were complete they will call me back.

They never called back.

@DeWayfarer Oh, isn't that normal business practice: "We'll call you back" really means, "We will [i]not [/i]call you back" ?

That's if they have even given a telephone number. Many now hide behind web-sites designed to prevent any contact except for sales via the site.

When I wanted both to obtain help and complain about its interference with my data, I wrote to Microsoft's UK office. Their help desk did ring back and we sorted out the technical problem, but the company is still interfering with my computer and files.

I've tried over the last couple of years to obtain quotes for roof repairs to my home. One contractor did have the honesty to say he was taking on any new work for the foreseeable future (full order book). Another promised to ring back. He didn't so I rang him again. He'd forgotten! Others just can't be bothered to return your calls.

@ArishMell thing is this was a call back employee as well. The first person I talked to informed me of a call back. And that person that called back was very rude about it. Refusing to give any time period. Just that he will call me back.

@DeWayfarer Sadly, it does not surprise me. Sometimes I think they are the customers and we the services.

@ArishMell oh I threatened to switch providers after they refused to give me any kind of time period. This whole process has been going on since Dec 23rd!

All he said was: "sorry to hear that"! 🤷🏻‍♂️

Note the website still doesn't have card service since then as well! Keeps on saying something has gone wrong. Not what has gone wrong.
