why is this site so dead? I remember 3 years ago it had plenty of people

I have a quora account. It does suck now except for the non English's sites. I think with quora it was once subject matters experts sharing their knowledge but it has since digressed to to I am poorly educated but I have an opinion.

I think the members for each are really different. People, even if they are the same people join Quora for a different reason than they would join this site. Quora and SW are sorta apples and oranges in terms of content.

Forums are kind of old fashioned ways of communicating online, which might be part of it. Social media ate the lunches and dinners of forums.
