@Punxi no, not at all, I just meant that it seems the majority of whisky drinkers are too timid to appreciate the flavor of peaty (especially Islay / Hebrides single malt) whisky and find peat off-putting (whereas I love peat bombs like Laphroaig, Lavagulin, Ardbeg, Talisker), they whine about Laphroaig tasting medicinal for example, but that is the very thing I love about it, particularly with that marine sphagnum-based peat vs the mainland wood-based peat)

@Punxi well if you can find it you also might appreciate a stout that the Mikkeller brewery ages in used Islay whisky barrels, creating a peaty ale they call «Black Hole»
