I'm a huge believer in it. I have ignored that inner voice and those red flags, only to pay dearly for not trusting it.

I think our brain sees patterns. Intuition is following patterns your brain says it "sees".

Yes I do. Have experienced it in several forms beginning with dreams shortly before family members died. Have has flashes in my eyes to warn me of things and other such things

Intuition is predicting behavior as chess is recognizing patterns and thinking ahead. If the persons or situations are important, the intuition will match the need for it.
