Why do young people answer "Thank You" with "But,of course"

We answered with "You are welcome."

There are many variations to choose from aside from those mentioned:

-Don't mention it.
-Anytime.
- You're always welcome ( when I'm being saucy☺)

It depends too who you're responding to and the situation.
