I don’t want to give any of these kittens away 🥲

There is a nice lady coming today to take two of them to their forever home. I’m keeping the littlest one and another that she bonded with. That leaves one and it’s bad form to give away a single kitten. So I guess I’m keeping that one too.

I know the feeling. We took in a mama cat that had a litter of 4 kittens a few months ago, and there are few joys in life as pure as having a bunch of kitties scampering around, jumping onto your lap, and staring at you with their big bright eyes.

But we also knew that they would grow up eventually and it would've been rough taking care of 5 cats and a large dog in our little house. They're so sweet and adorable already, but watching them grow up and learn really tugs at your heartstrings. It was tough to part with the 2 of them we did, but we made sure that they were going to good houses where they'd be taken care of.

Though like you said, it's tough to leave a kitty alone, so that's why we decided to keep the 2 that got along with each other the best. Lucky for us, the 2 we gave away were pretty independent and liked playing on their own. I'd like to think they're doing fine in their new homes

@TinyViolins I’m sure they’re okay. Some kittens are independent and then others really rely on their litter mates. I just have three that bonded with each other but one REALLY bonded with my daughter. I don’t want to split them up lol

@SwampFlower Yeah, ultimately you have to do what you think is best for the kitties. The first one we gave away was kind of a bully and we felt pairing him with another kitty would be bad for the other kitty. The other one we gave away was always going off on her own and avoided playing with her brothers, so we made sure she'd go somewhere she could have her own space
