why should you like people if many people don't seem to like or accept you

[c=BF6900][i]my parents are always advising me to give off pleasant vibes to people, be friendly and have a 'positive attitude' but why should i? because throughout my adult life, many people have not been nice to me or been friendly to me, i've been rejected enough times too...and had bad treatment.

granted i had behavioural/ anger problems and that didn't help, but i was still unfairly treated a lot..why now should i give people a chance and be friendly?

or should i just cut the past loose and give people another chance?


by the way i had a wonderful childhood with friends, just my adult life has been shit.[/i][/c]
