For the new year, I am focusing on making myself financial independent. I want to be, and I am going to focus on that from now on.

It is not easy for a person carrying my mindset, an artist, traveler and free spirit, but that doesn't mean it is not important and necessary.
I am realizing that a year perhaps won't be enough and it is a lifelong promise I am making to myself after few years of living on the edge. Especially this last summer gave me a lot of lessons.

My narrative shifted. I now see the whole process as "taking care of myself" rather than whatever else was there. I begun by setting relatively doable financial goals.

Of course I didn't come all the way to find any type of job, I want to bloom through my values and skillset, but it seems more possible than it did before. It is because the idea of being on a mission feels funky enough and motivates me. I want to bring my values forward.

How about you beautiful people? What is it the one thing you are changing? No matter how big or small it may be.

I'm glad to hear that you are concentrating on the financial side of life for a while. I always felt that you were living on a knife edge. It was very interesting to read your adventures but I worried sometimes that your life might become very difficult far from home. I envy you your bravery.

My goal this year is to be a little more sensitive to other people's needs and opinions, to try to be less abrupt.

@ninalanyon funny isn't it so as I have always admired your way of being "abrupt" as you say, I was always thinking of it as the ability to carry the blade of truth.

Apparently we're getting more sovereign in the sense, seeing the sober side of freedom. Like, we got the wild side and it's always going to be there...

Thank you. ❤

@Boeing Well, sometimes the truth needs to be delivered slowly and diplomatically. I need to learn how to do that.

Sounds helpful that's a lot like me too. Not relying on things to be the same forever. I mean really some change can be good.
Unfortunately you can never be financially independent because finance means dependency. You will never be able to catch up with the inflation as the world is getting worse and worse. Scams and frauds are ever on the increase.

Money . I am working to eradicate all age old money and replace with new money, as all old currencies are heavily rigged for ages and are beyond redemption.
@Boeing What we know as MONEY now and rely on, are known as Fiat currencies that are just minted and diluted. The money was named as Currency to mean Current value only. It was never meant to be stored or taken to Future. Which means saved Money should have been different. So Currency should not have been perpetual, but made so because of people's ignorance and lack of knowledge. And now we are suffering the consequence of using a heavily diluted and rigged money, which now needs to be demonetized.

@in10RjFox yes, and currency is meant to move, current meaning present as you say and also meaning movement, as a current of wind.

So what are your thoughts on savings?
Or investments.
Because in the past we had the rich Land owners whom would have the farmers working on their land and take huge taxes.
Also home owners who do the same.
By changing the ownership to a currency such as money as we know it nowadays, we "solved" the problem by transferring it to a different terrain. It is the same problem of ownership that no matter the currency, if we don't change the roots in our psychs, greed asking for grandiosity, will always remain the same. Growth, I agree with it of course. But we ought to consider health beforehand. Health is first, then comes growth. Otherwise we are growing monsters.

Could you give me some examples of currency that would better serve our new paradigm, so that I can understand what you mean a little better ?
@Boeing I have PMd you.

I'm working on meeting new people that share my values and my interests.

@Lsreading4200 that is a great answer. Community that resonate and can support us, so so precious. It is worth the focus

Hard to be financially independent or even secure without a job or some type of income. Don’t put the cart before the horse.

@1490wayb I will need sometime before I get to that one though. At least from where I am right now I don't see how to go there.

Whatever you are upto, be it spirituality, art, travel, reading, enjoying food, playing game, listening to music, etc. etc., at the end of the day you need well cooked food to eat, a roof over your head, and clean clothes to wear. Money is the square 1.
