When you say Bears plural honestly it is doubtful that you will be attacked by a pack of bears because usually Grizzlies are solitary creatures only coming together when it is time to make babies. Now the mother will attack you if the Cubs are present the Cubs will not usually join in The Fray. Killer bees on the other hand are definitely swarm animals and that is catastrophic especially when overpowered by loads of venom the good news is however they are not as prevalent as some of the media hype would have you think especially here in the south now out west they are making a resurgence but I think in Southern California you should be fine from either one I have never seen a Kodiak bear anywhere near San Diego or Los Angeles except for in a zoo

Honestly in real life I would be more afraid of sharks or alligators Honestly though I've been in the water with sharks not to worry there alligators however it depends

I was in a cross country race yesterday and it was a loop and there was one spot where I was stung twice and every time I approached that point I was ticked off — not a swarm though
