So gay people should only act in a way you deem appropriate for then to be respected?
SW-User
@basilfawlty89 Respect must be earned. I don’t thinking dressing like clowns and bragging about your sexuality is the way to do it
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@SW-User if people don't like flamboyant gay people no one is forcing them to associate with them. I don't think people have a right to limit self expression or police people's choice in how they express themselves.

Also op whines about rainbow flags. How's that different from a Christian wearing a cross or something similar?

Respect for basic rights shouldn't have to be earned.
SW-User
@basilfawlty89 It’s just a matter of opinion. Nobody is policing anyone’s choice in their self expression. They can wear whatever they want, and we’re still going to say what we want to say because we do think what they do is redundant and only because they want to show people how gay they are.

Rainbow flag is a bit ridiculous. I can understand if it’s a national flag, but why did they feel the need to invent a flag to promote LGBT? It’s radical. Just saying.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@SW-User it's far from radical, it's a symbol for rights. Almost every political movement gas some emblem. It was founded at a time when gay people were ostracized from their families, beat up and arrested for being gay. How's it radical to start a movement for equal rights. Actually, while we're at that, what's wrong with being radical?
SW-User
@basilfawlty89 Hmm you got me at the flag part.

But being radical has its problems. Too much of something is always counterproductive. LGBT people dressing up too flamboyant accidentally has caused some people to judge them more instead of being open to them. Also, this is radical. This an example of LGBT going too far.

@SW-User but how are drag queens harming anyone? How's seeing two men kiss for example harming a child? Kids see a man and a woman kissing all the time. Heterosexuality gets shoved down people's throats since the moment they're born, but no one bats an eyelash.
SW-User
@basilfawlty89 Are you fucking kidding me? This was at a daycare. Children don’t need to be exposed to this. Children do not need to be exploited and abused in the name of tolerance and diversity.
Heterosexuality gets shoved down people's throats since the moment they're born, but no one bats an eyelash.
Lmao don’t talk like heterosexuality is such a bad thing. Heterosexuality is the reason why you were born, and the reason why humanity exists to this day. We teach children about heterosexuality the same way we teach them about sex, and sex leads to reproduction, and reproduction is important!
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@SW-User how does it harm them being exposed to cross dressers or gay people? It's not exploiting them. What's gonna happen? They'll grow up to be more tolerant and empathetic? Scary though.

I am heterosexual, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with heterosexuality. But there's nothing wrong with homosexuality either and it's just as valid as heterosexuality. It's found across the animal kingdom. If children can be exposed to heterosexuality, they can be exposed to homosexuality.

Let’s not worry about them as grown ups. Let’s worry about how fucking confused they’ll be in the process of growing up. This is sick and disgusting. These kids are under 5. They shouldn’t be exposed to this thing. They shouldn’t have to worry about what genders they are at such an early age. They barely understand that their moms don’t have a penis, let alone the basic concept of genders. Let’s confuse them even more, shall we? Leave these poor kids alone and stop trying to steer them into our poisonous way of thinking.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@SW-User yet they're imprinted from an early age about their gender from the moment they get dolls and action figures or pink bedrooms. How's that different? From an early age if you're a man you're told to conform to the standard of being a man with all the baggage of not being allowed to express your emotions.

That has nothing to do with homosexuality 🤦🏻‍♀️ We all encounter gender stereotypes. Leave that out of this discussion.
yet they're imprinted from an early age about their gender from the moment they get dolls and action figures or pink bedrooms. How's that different?
The difference is NO ONE is born a fucking homosexual. We all start somewhere as heterosexual, and then as we grow older, our sexual orientations develop, so we can decide for ourselves if we want to fuck a person from opposite or same sexuality or both. It’s not morally right to force your sexual orientations on children. They’re not adults. They’re fucking small children. Do you understand? Do not mess with children’s minds like that. They do not understand LGBT, and you’re only creating a psychological formula for disasters.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@SW-User I'm sorry, but are you now claiming homosexuality is a choice? Because that flies in the face of the consensus of most psychiatrists, psychologists, neurologists and geneticists. Homosexuality is genetic and a natural variation of sexuality that's found all across the animal kingdom. I'm not going to take you seriously if you deny scientific consensus and claim homosexuality is a choice. Gay people don't choose a lifetime of bigotry and discrimination.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@SW-User gender has to do with this, because we're talking about crossdressers who gender bend. Sexual roles and orientation is thrust on us as a kid, all this is is allowing minority orientations and identities to be visible and represented too.

@basilfawlty89 I’m not complaining a out rainbow flags. I could careless how people dress or express themselves I’m talking about people who only ever talk about being gay likes it’s the only thing to them.

I have two co-workers who don’t shut up about that Fortnite game.

But when someone has to bring up, “as a gay person I...” Like it’s an accolade?

Or, “you’re not gay so you won’t understand.”

Won’t find people saying “as a straight person I...”

Or

“You’re not straight you won’t u understand” This one would bother a lot of people. Want to know why, it’s not necessary.

Now yeah some people do come across a ignorant person who might harass them, disown them, or refuse to hire them because they’re gay. But that’s between those two.

I don’t understand why people have to argue to those who had nothing to do with these scenarios.

I wouldn’t go around saying a truck driver cut me off so all truck drivers are assholes

Or

As a Jeep owner you wouldn’t understand Jeep problems....

We made it easier by making everything equal in the sense that we all have car problems.

Like the shove it in your face lgbt people really make things worse for themselves.

Like I’ve told someone else on this post. I have 3 gay coworkers and you wouldn’t even know they were gay because that’s not their personality that’s just who they are.

The fact that some people are mad at this post and reasonings just further proves that some people in the lgbt don’t want to be normalized but specialized.

But I only treat everyone normal, not special. Unless your friend, family, or lover.
