I Am Straight

Another question I usually get asked about my molestation is that if me having been molested by a woman has had any effect on my sexuality; if it's made me like girls, pretty much. As far as I know, I'm completely straight. I've never had any feelings of physical or sexual attraction toward other girls. I've never understood why people who were molested by people of the same gender get asked that. It would be like asking me if I'm heterosexual if I had been molested by a man! I suppose it's possible for one's traumatic experiences, particularly with sexual abuse at a young age, could have an effect on their sexuality but for me, I don't what happened to me has had any impact on my sexuality whatsoever.
