Could you ever leave off being a Christian to become a Buddhist?
I’m Catholic and I’m personally very Franciscan in my outlook. I believe in the Christ, who Bear Grylls in his wonderful book “The Greatest Story Ever Told “ calls Yeshua HaMashiach. He is the Saviour, and whatever non believers say I can seldom refute their animus because I am not an angry “homeless person” and I am mindful that they might be persuaded when the time is right for them, as individuals.
Having said this, there are simplicities in the way that Buddhists (here I am talking about Theravada Buddhists rather than Mahayana Buddhists- yes, most of the religions of the world have factions, or a diaspora of thinking -) approach life and the complexities that we can get bogged down by. They apply the sage like words of Siddharthur Gautama and they get to a comfortable place in their minds.
Christians have been able to do this, but usually when they are not overthinking so they become overwhelmed by their particular challenges.
