I'm trying to be chill about it, but I'm freaked out.

Identity fraud is creepy and invasive. Someone has ALL my private information. I'd love to know where/how they got it.

As if I needed more reasons to not feel safe.

Funny thing is I'm broke and I don't have much credit from not having much debt. So they really picked the wrong person.

I'm doing all the things. It's just creepy.

Yeah it's unsettling. Last year they had enough on me to open a new credit card under my name and it was a Chase Sapphire that didn't even need to be activated. Thankfully we got it and then cancelling it was a PITA lol

@robingoodfellow it's all just out there. My bank did catch it though so they have it on camera. State police are going to look into but they did it out of state. Went to Maryland

A former employer likely got sloppy and got hacked to get your info. I would contact the credit bureau's and put an alert on your credit. They can prevent someone from harming your credit by taking out loans, credit, etc.

@HijabaDabbaDoo yup I've done all the things. Even reported to the police too because they did make a fake ID. Changed every password. New accounts. So I'm on red alert, hopefully that makes them eff off.
