is this spam text trying to cause an existential crisis?

Never respond to spam texts.
You do not want them knowing they have a legit number.
Best just to block and report.

It is kind of like in the 90's (before caller ID was widespread) when we would get these calls, we would answer, and the other end would just hang up.

Just some company trying to gauge if the number was legit and what time we would be home so they could sell that info.

I got that same message, and responded
