Wth? Someone on social media posted a picture of their cat….

And gave it pronouns!! They said “ This is ______, she/her”.
I know that many people these days assign a pronoun to themselves- but I have never seen it extended to pets too!
When talking about your pet, do you tell people their pronoun too? Or just your own pronoun?

I don't have pets but I noticed people usually ask on their own. "Is it she or he?"
Also, animals are gendered in my native language so people often use the gender that is normally used. For example, a dog is male so people naturally use male gender by default unless proven otherwise.
