Package woes

I bought something from the Amazon for my mother's Christmas gift. It was scheduled for delivery today. Monday I got an email telling me it would be delivered Tuesday. Yesterday I got an email telling me that delivery would be delayed until Thursday. I made travel plans for Thursday morning to go see her and take her gift to her. She's 5 hours away. This news messed up those plans. Today (Wednesday ) I got notification that it was out for delivery. 🙄. Now I'm wondering if it is REALLY out for delivery. Stay tuned for more.

UPDATE: It arrived today as originally scheduled.

This is why you should never shop on-line

Shop in person and have it the same day, no waiting for the mailman to deliver a package

@HumanEarth I couldn't find it locally.
@HumanEarth If you don’t drive (and not everyone does) online shopping can be a great convenience.

@bijouxbroussard That's why you go shopping as a family like my family does. We go in groups to the big city one to save on gas, two it's a way to spend time with each other
@HumanEarth And people who don’t have family nearby ?

Gives you a reason to visit
@HumanEarth You must be wealthy.

Wrong, I'm a poor ass dirt farmer. I just really really like old traditional way of doing things.

Like never owning a cellphone or shopping on-line. I really really like doing things in person and face to face.

I like the personal connection with other humans, I am not a heartless robot like other humans have turned into.
@HumanEarth I see. I’m not a huge fan of tradition; I remember that much of it didn’t come with choices. I appreciate having the other options provided by modern technology.

For me I hate most modern technology. Like I wish they bring back the Vacuum tube technology

Like modern technology makes it super hard to find a job. Almost every job is posted on-line and you need a cellphone and e-mail and have them verified.

Like who going going to commit fraud looking for a job for one thing. Two the newspaper was just easier. No e-mails, no cellphone needed. Easy peesy
