do any of you not desire love?

I think there might be some who have been so betrayed by the people who were supposed to love them, be it parents, siblings, friends, life partners......that they no longer trust enough to let anyone get close enough to hurt them that way again. That can feel a lot like having no desire to be loved. Sometimes it becomes a different thing, like anorexia nervosa, or some other self harming thing.......cutting, drugs, overeating, doing things that are dangerous.

Love is necessary for everyone, being without love will eventually kill you one way or another

I desire the idea of love. But when actual love is offered to me, I find I do not desire it.

i love family and friends. as for a s.o. its rare for me to feel that way. i have deeply cared about someone before. i can say it truly can harm you. some people dont want love. they seek other pleasures. but to truly love another that seems to hate you. thats torture.
