So sorry for your loss, I went down that long road 10 years ago. Sometimes, it doesn't feel that long.
No, you shouldn't think that way, it's counter productive to you moving forward.

It's difficult, I know...but such a relief when it is finally done.

You sound cold. I talk to the photos of my parents every day. Just today I said good morning and I love you to them. And when I got home, I said goodnight to my parents. I blow them kisses, kiss their photos, and have dreams and waking dreams of them.
And? Your parents are dead goddammit.
The house clearance guys were fabulous.

I remember how hard that is!

Not only do you need not to, you shouldn't. When I went through the same thing, it hurt like Hell- but I know my parents, and for all their flaws, they wouldn't want me to suffer from feeling my own imperfections. Neither would yours.
Their souls won’t be at peace if new owners had to disrespect or tear apart the house

That's not easy. 20 years ago my siblings and I cleared my mum's flat after she passed away. A lot of nostalgia and reminiscing.

Not an easy process I know from a couple of recent experiences myself.
No judgement, just typical British motorways.

@MrAverage1965 Why do it if it is not an easy process?
MrAverage1965 · 61-69, M
@emiliya Because someone has to do it.
