Parent's house cleared

Yesterday was long and hard. The house that I'd lived in from aged 8 to 18 and my parents for most of their lives is finally cleared as we near the end of our family ownership.

The house clearance guys were fabulous. They worked hard and got it all done so much quicker than I thought was possible. They even helped us run the vacuum round and sweep up etc. Before I closed the door for probably the last time.

Drive back was hell. A motorway we weren't using was closed but caused chaos everywhere. Was that mum and dad passing some judgement? I need to not think like that.

It's difficult, I know...but such a relief when it is finally done.
Their souls won’t be at peace if new owners had to disrespect or tear apart the house

Not only do you need not to, you shouldn't. When I went through the same thing, it hurt like Hell- but I know my parents, and for all their flaws, they wouldn't want me to suffer from feeling my own imperfections. Neither would yours.

Sorry for your loss!
But life goes on

So sorry for your loss, I went down that long road 10 years ago. Sometimes, it doesn't feel that long.
No, you shouldn't think that way, it's counter productive to you moving forward.

Not an easy process I know from a couple of recent experiences myself.
No judgement, just typical British motorways.
