How do you relax?

Sit down in a comfy chair and watch the flames mesmerise you, a deeply relaxing mediative experience for a stressful day.

The warm, quiet atmosphere that is perfect for curling up with a favourite book.

Drink hot chocolate or another beverage that you enjoy.

Write. Use the cosy time for personal reflection.

Or just snooze while warming your toes.

Fire is a great meditative tool. So is reading... so is hot cocoa 😌

Lately, I've been doing near infrared light therapy while stretching and watching Nordic train trek videos on youtube in the morning. Then I like to sip decaf coffee and read in the evening.

I like to listen to music or read a book, edit photos and I don't know if anyone else thinks so but I find cooking relaxing.
In tne warmer months I unwind by going fishing, hiking/camping or a long walk with the dog.

@RodneyTrotter1 I've always found cooking relaxing too, it isn't a chore to me that needs to be done even when cooking for others. Unless I burn something .. 🙄

@mossyboots It's my job so I'm lucky to not find it a chore.
Burning things, that usually happens when I'm camping and I'm so relaxed that I forget there's food cooking 🤣

Kickboxing workouts, the actual kicking drills...feeling the impact with the dummy, keeping my back straight, my support foot pointed in the right direction, staying balanced through the cycle, and hearing the loudness of the thud. After 25 years of doing it, it's come to this. 😂

In the mornings like to sit and drink my coffee in the quiet of the day, in evenings or a day like today lay back in my recliner and do nothing!!

Take advantage of the solitude for reflection.

Listening to Vivaldi lute concertos

@peterlee Harlequin, Pierrot and Punchinello, can't remember the rest of them.

@mossyboots Not the best recording. The Vivaldi is exquisite.

Lie down with a fluffy pillow and the ceiling fan blowing on me in the quiet.
