Paint in a milk jug

I am slowly repainting the inside of the house. Dug out all the old paint we had from the last time which was about 20 years ago. When I open those old cans the lid is rusted on. Impossible to get it off without destroying it, and of course cannot close it after.
I poured the remaining paint into a milk jug and that was way better than the original metal can. It will never rust, can see the colour of the paint, and pouring it out is simple and clean.
Why isn't all paint sold this way? Those old round paint cans have got to go.

I hate paint, the clean up, getting rid of the unused and such.

Just a hassle

I rather throw up 1960s/1970s style wood paneling and be done with it.

No painting, no stains, less mess done

Scraps, just burn for heat for the winter
@HumanEarth Wow, that would be a huge expensive job. The idea is great although not nearly as cheap as paint. hah.

Always better to decant it lol

They seal better. The paint wont last in a milk jug

20 year old paint isnt likely to be good anymore anyway
@MethDozer Actually seems to be fine. I did have another can I used on a door and it took a really long time to dry and flakes off easily, but this one was ok.
