I just bought a house.

It came to my attention as the sale was nearing conclusion that the house was a repo. I have mixed feelings about that. Anyway, I was up in the attic clearing some stuff the previous residence left in a cubbyhole in the roof-space and found a lot of old photos and stuff. Wedding photos, Christening photos, school photos and the like. Literal snap shots of peoples lives, it made me feel sad. I might be able to find out who they are so I can return their stuff. Especially all the photos as I am sure they hold great sentimental value.

It has been a strange day.

Not your fault of course that they couldn't make the payments. Might even have been that the people died. Oh and the photos might belong to the family before the last one.

You should be able to check the public records to find out who owned it previously. Wonder if they have a forwarding order for their mail still in place?
@Pretzel I think its theirs because their kids had done some graffiti in a build in wardrobe in one of the bedrooms where they wrote their ages and the year, going back to about 20 yeas ago. Was the same as the surname on the post. But I will have a good look before I do anything, thanks.

That'll be good if you can find them.
@Matt85 Yeah it would. We will see. I will ask my new neighbours.

@TheDeathOCuHullainn Good idea. I wonder if the estate agents or whoever delt with the mortgage or rent would know.

Would be great if you can return them.

Have u seen Annabelle or the conjuring movies. I wouldn't handle anything in a attic
@lilylovesgaming1986 Yeah, I think they are nonsense personally
The real estate agent should be able to help.
@MsSwan I think they were dealing with an asset firm.

A family dissolved into despair and loneliness. Puff…no memories.
@Bumbles Exactly
If they broke up or got divorced, they may not want the wedding photos
@sstronaut as more than just those. they can sort out what they want once they have them back i guess
Register of Deeds / Property Tax rolls should show this.
