The room I'm renting currently has two separate taps for hot and cold at the handwashing sink, which is going to be extremely useless in winters

is there any equipment available to kind of....attach to both taps to make one tap to mix hot and cold? And if yes, what is it called. I don't even know how to google this exactly lol

Put the plug in and fill with equal amounts or to your desired temperature and then wash your hands

Live the rough life -- put the plug in the basin and mix the water there.

Simple plug the sink and mix the taps together. It's not rocket science.
