I just don't understand this lady

This lady she owns multiple houses and rents them out for money. I learned she is in her 90s and her husband is upper 80s. Well they don't live together because he is very abusive to her. Well she found the best rent tenant that is our neighbor. She has kicked out ever person that rented that house besides our neighbor and his wife. They are pretty awesome. If we are out of town for a few day's he will check on the dogs.

I even babysited his dog for them. But this house needs a lot of work. The roof is in bad shape and the concrete slab is cracked. the beams in the front are barely still there. The crazy part is he is willing to fix everything himself. He offer her like 40k dollars for the house as is. But she refuses the offer because she wants at least 80K. The house was even checked out it's not even worth 10k. Well he took his 40k and he got a new house rent to own it's just like 3 blocks from us. The house is in amazing shape. I'm pretty excited for them.
