Laundry. When I was younger I often bought new clothes to avoid it.
My friend Larry did, too. He’d joke that he was down to a "Nehru jacket and Bermuda shorts”. We’d either pile his car with laundry bags and spend the day at the laundromat, or go shopping.

@bijouxbroussard At college we used to see how many weeks we could go without washing our clothes. Once I ended up going to the laundry in my pyjamas, the only clothes I had left 😅

@bijouxbroussard I had a roommate in college who refused to do laundry. He always took it home to his mother. If he ran out of underwear he bought new.
I always thought I had better places to spend what little money I had than underwear. I mean that was my beer money. One has to have priorities.
