Have any of you run into this annoying problem?

We(wife)bought a vacuum cleaner that was EXTREMELY expensive. It has all the bells and whistles, along with a thousand attachments but it seems every time I use it, I battle trying to suck up a little piece of thread off the carpet! It really pisses me off! For something that costs that much money, a little hand should come out and pick the thread up, I shouldn't have to bend over!
You’re right, if you spend that kind of money you should at least get a hand job.

[@OlderSometimesWiser It should also tell me how sexy I am after I "turn it on".

Same problem, I have a Shark vacuum that someone kindley left outside for anyone to take. I'm very grateful for it...It gets the job done for the most part but occasionally it wont eat small artifacts from the carpet. You just have to get down and pick it up or run over it many times. Maybe I need to clean its rollers or some jazz. 🤔

Is yours brand new?

@Matt85 It's 6 months old. The roller looks fine. I think it's just something that can't be avoided! I like how well it works otherwise but it just will not pick up certain types of thread. I think they just cling to the carpet too good, plus our carpet is kind of shaggy.

@WizardofOz I think we need an industrial vacuum 😆
Check the filters if you have them. I know mine does, you have to wash it with water.
Maybe the bag/collector is full?
Has it a filter?....it might need cleaning .

Vacuum cleaners lose suck due to these reasons , or a partial blockage in the head, wand or hose.

🤷

Also ...is it a hand held rechargeable or a full on cord/plug vauume cleaner?
Those smaller ones dont have as much power, and some brands are just useless.
