I'm gonna try to stay in Phoenix because I don't want to lose my job

I just pray I can find a cheap enough apartment to live in- preferably one that isn't a roach motel or has bullets whizzing through the walls.

Prices aren't too high there are they?? Probably be able to find a decent small apartment under 1000. Maybe you could look for a roommate?? Is there an app for that?

@DearAmbellina2113 oh, ok I just assumed. I don't know much about Pheonix.

There was a TV news article the other day that stated that among large cities, the Metro Phoenix Area has the 6th highest cost of living in the United States.

@Threepio seriously?? I am shocked. I thought it was a shit hole and impoverished. Lol I've only driven through AZ briefly, don't remember if we went through Pheon even. I'm from bay area California so I know all about high prices.
@Notsimilarreally Well, rents have gone crazy due to the "shortage" of housing and many stores are closing or consolidating. The stores are claiming a high "shrinkage" (due to retail theft), so there are now places in the Metro Area that are "grocery deserts" (no stores) and pharmacies are going the same way.

Many people will blame the large influx of Californians and Texans for the housing situation, but the fact is very few of us are actually native Arizonans.

@Threepio yuck.
