Yes. Never tastes like I get at restaurants. Luckily, there are at least three dozen good Chinese/Taiwanese/Hong Kong restaurants within half mile radius from where I live. And When I get tired of that, there are about as many Thai restaurants, and Vietnamese restaurants. Same with Indian, but I can't handle Indian hot spices.

@Northwest add MSG. It's like salt on steroids, but with less sodium.

@basilfawlty89 Indian food, or Chow Mein?
@Northwest you live in foodie heaven 😀

@Northwest chow mein. Don't listen to the myth of MSG causing bloating, it's a myth. It greatly increases umami flavour.

And don't get me started on Mexican, Italian, Middle Eastern, and all kinds of other cuisines. 🙂 Part of living in tech Mecca.

I do love to cook though.

When I order, I ask for low salt, and no sugar. I don't really check for MSG. Usually though, I go for lo mein.
@Northwest cooking at home is probably healthier but I'd love to have really good Mexican and middle Eastern food nearby..yummo
