My sister asks me something but she's talking from another room, but gets angry that I can't hear what she is saying

If she needed me to answer her question she should've came to me instead of talking from another place in my house. Obviously I didn't respond to her question because I simply couldn't hear her.

Does anybody else do this?

My husband hollers from the living room to where I am in the bedroom, and I can't hear him because he is watching TV. And it doesn't matter to him that our son is already asleep. I have to get up and go to where he is if I want the hollering to stop. Occasionally I am already asleep myself.

my son does this to me. He will holler at me from the basement like I can hear one garbled word clear enough to know. And then acts like its such a task walking up the stairs when I could have just hurried down to see what he needed.
