Why is Polyamory so looked down on by society?

Is it that much of a problem to love multiple people so deeply in their eyes?

It's the marriage culture that sets precedence and forms the society which gets jealous of those engaging in polyamory. But naturally we are polysmourous beings who can love as many like how we can be friends with as many.
