Why is Polyamory so looked down on by society?

Is it that much of a problem to love multiple people so deeply in their eyes?

I'm guessing religion said marriage is between one man and one woman.

Also because it seems to lead to jealous or hurt feeling that you like someone else in the group more.

@Viper But God blessed Solomon with multiple wives? He also came to die on the cross to set us free from the old covenant and create a new one....

@Viper it really doesn't lead to jelious people if you all communicate everything openly. You just have to conduct yourself correctly

@Rosiechick13
if you all communicate everything openly. You just have to conduct yourself correctly
Yeah, I don't think enough people do that though... and the show Sister wife's even showed examples where they felt like they weren't getting enough time from the man.

Just to be clear, if everyone is open, honest, adults and happy, I got no problem with just about anything.

I've also secretly wondered if the one husband and one wife thing was party to try to make more family and have more kids, so that areas could create more soldiers in 15-20 years back in the days before guns. But it's stuck in certain religions.

@Viper That s actually a good thought and now I'm curious. I'm glad we communicate so openly and it's all smooth or at least mostly lol we are still couples
