Is it so wrong for me to say that my father is narrowminded?

Not in the least - although you may not want to say it to his face, in that case :)

I didn't tell it to him directly. I told that to my mom, sis and aunt. I just don't know how it got out.

@jhaylynskie: yeah not too surprising one of them passed it on. I take it he's ultra pissed at you?

I think so too. Now my mom is asking me to say sorry to my dad. But I'm afraid. What should I do?

@jhaylynskie: I'm afraid the best of a bunch of shit options is to suck it up and apologise - the longer it takes before that happens, the more he will ferment and stew on his anger & the worse it will get, in my experience.

Meaningless apologies are at least relatively free of cost, beyond the embarassment factor (unless you think he'd get physically violent?). Unfortunately, in most families, a degree of hypocrisy & insincerity is a requirement just to get along and survive

@firefall: I think he would get violent but I'm lucky cause he's not around and we could only talk through chat messages. But I'll go through with your advice to "suck it up and apologize"

ah, perfect, he can't even see the face you make when doing the apology :)
Sorry I can't find a better answer ... families kinda suck, all too often

Yeah. It's a good thing. 😅

Yeah they do. Families tends to have their own flaws.
