Is it acceptable to hang underwear on the washing line.

I prefer to let my underwear dry naturally outside especially expensive bras etc. I do use the tumble dryer but only for certain things.
Yesterday it was dry so I hung out my whites including my underwear. I sat out in the garden when my neighbour came to the wall and said do you have to dry your knickers where we can see them? I was a bit taken back.
I said they're almost dry so will be taken inside soon. He said good! My children dont need to see your thongs when playing in the garden. I didnt want to fall out so apologised but in truth f*@k her.

I'm going to carry on putting it on the line because some of its expensive. If she doesnt like it maybe her husband will 🤣
