A more serious thing, for the change. I just had to check from my upstairs neighbor, if she had the same issue with the heating that I do. Yarp.

We, Finns, are such assholes... Thinking we are clever, with our distributed hot water -based heating systems in town areas. Nope, I think this morning's -21 C broke something. No heat in the batteries, since all of the pipes are cold and nothing circulates - not even mildly warm horse piss - in the hating system. Well, at least we have good service with our maintenance service. I called them a quarter to eight p.m. and "We will come and check it out." Well, something good, even today. I cannot understand, why the bathroom is warm and the pipes are hot, but the living quarters... No such luck. Different circulation... Which makes little sense per se.

That's a stupid system. I've seen it here as well, way too cold to have that type of system in Canada.

No natural gas?
ZonkeyBalls · 46-50, M
@Synyster Well, that would make us dependent on Russia's gas, which is even a worse option.
Synyster · 51-55, M
@ZonkeyBalls I guess you can go electric, but that would probably be expensive.
ZonkeyBalls · 46-50, M
@Synyster This wasn't so bad, my room temperature was at +20 C, but drying my gloves on the battery was a bit difficult.
Synyster · 51-55, M
@ZonkeyBalls 20 C is perfect temp.
ZonkeyBalls · 46-50, M
@Synyster Yes, but not, when you try to make gloves dry quickly. I even put them in the microwave, to no avail.
Synyster · 51-55, M
@ZonkeyBalls Microwave? lol

Did you try the dryer?
ZonkeyBalls · 46-50, M
@Synyster That would be cheating.
Synyster · 51-55, M
@ZonkeyBalls Fuck that I cheat all time. I use the dryer all the time.

@Synyster Can it turn squirrels into raccoons?
Synyster · 51-55, M
@ZonkeyBalls Nope, the paint won't stay on the squirrels.
ZonkeyBalls · 46-50, M
@Synyster Brush + oil paint does. Or you can do the same thing as the car manufacturers do and dip them in the paint, before putting them in the oven.
