What secret did your parents keep from you? (50s)

A secret which was only revealed to you many years later?
When I applied for my Birth Certificate I found out that I had two brothers who died in childbirth in the late 50's
It was never mentioned at all.

@Gusman Kinda sad. Kinda annoyed. Started wondering if my folks reactions and responses to me over the years were rooted in sadness or regret or even anger !

And if the signs of that were there and i just never picked up on them.....because i didn't know !
