Why is it so hot at night? I've tried everything and I'm still always far too hot in bed.

I know in England we always complain it's too cold or wet but this summer it's been a heatwave for over a month. I'm loving the heat in the day time, most of the time however at night our room is so hot. Me and my husband have tried everything from cool water bottles to fans in the room but I still find myself hot and sweaty in bed.

@SW-User we have a dehumidifier but it's too loud to use when trying to sleep

@BusyMum3 In Australia our homes are set up for summer heat by having windows that can be left open and insects can't get in by using fly mesh on the outside of the windows. Also nearly every home would have an air conditioner either evaporative or reverse cycle. We also have blinds on the outside to shade the windows from the direct sunlight during the day. Also insulation in the roof is very popular
