I think my refrigerator is failing. Should I just buy and new one and hope the landlord reimbursed me?

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout stove and refrigerator are standard equipment in apartments in my area.
It’s really not that generous because it’s not like I’m taking it with me when I leave.

Stoves are hard wired in and are part of the house.. everything else you gotta provide mostly here 🇦🇺

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout the stove here was hardwired too. This building is old as hell. But when we moved in the person who lived here had lived here 30+ years
The stove didn’t work, and they couldn’t fix it because the parts no longer existed.

My husband did all the repairs in this apt to get it to code for moving in. It was a dump, 2 junkies lived here and took advantage of the old man and pocketed his pension money.

Anyways they had to cut the cabinet where the stove was. My husband got an electric stove from one of his jobs (he does remodeling) and the client said to just get rid of it. It’s in perfect working condition and so we brought it with us. The landlord liked it. He said he’d pay us for it but since it was free I didn’t charge him for it.

I think it law here to be hard wired. Back to the safety switches..,
Anywho. I’d be stoked to not have to lug a fridge around each time I moved 😉
