What if you hear someone creeping around outside in the dark?

This house have security lights all around /good visibility all around
it would be weird for a gate to creak open for it is an electric remote gate
so if I hear someone whispering
they better identify themselves before I shoot

I'm calling security.

Fall on the ground, people will keep their line of sight away from the ground so as to get more light in dark environments

They have two items to kiss from, my baseball bat or my machete or they can simply think twice and run away like hell.

I would probably do the silly thing and look out the window. I sleep with the light on as well so they know I'm on to them.
