95% finished repainting the interior of my rental unit
When I first moved in, over 11 years ago, I painted 4 murals on 4 walls.
The largest was 2.4 metres by 7.4 metres.
Back then, there were no inspections, then the owner hired an estate agent to look after his investment.
I received an email that inspections will begin is 3 weeks' time.
Panic on my part as I am sure they would have evicted me if they saw them.
Nothing wrong with the murals, the subjects were; The solar system, on the largest wall, Penguin Island - Shoalwater Bay on my bedroom wall, toilet was painted navy blue with yellow splashed over it and the other one was a forest scene with large trees.
All were quite stunning in their own right.
With an end of lease inspection due, (I am moving to Melbourne) I hurriedly painted over them all. Requiring several coats.
Passed inspection.
Now that I will be having an end of lease inspection I needed to do a better paint job.
Stated one week ago and completed the task, with a few touch-ups required, at 6.30pm last night.
Looks passable. Final inspection is in 12 days.
I can at least rest easy knowing that the walls will pass as "back to the original"
