Stressed about renting a room

I have been prolonging this for a very long while and it has significantly damaged my health, I guess.

At home, since I live next to a highway, the sounds are very stressful.

I find myself sleeping only a few hours a night, if I can.

I have tried many solutions to no avail, and my parents always end up saying I should move. when I suggest throwing more things away so it wont be stuffy inside when I close the windows, they just tell me to move out.

But something about my brain has a very hard time moving out.

I switch from wanting a condo room, master bed room, this that. Very frustrating..

Overall, I'm a person who values, quiet, privacy, and peace.

So maybe I should fork out more for a master bedroom with a private bathroom?

I am in a pretty desperate situation now as I find home to be practically unlivable at this point.

Economics are central to this. Do you have enough cash for a down payment for a house or condo? Is your income enough to keep up with rent or mortgage?

Sometimes you have to settle for what is possible / practical rather than chasing the ideal.

@squishylemon Having your own humble abode is better than living with relatives as long as you can afford it. Or at least that was my experience.

Not being a stranger, visiting often, but having your own place where you are reasonably comfortable is a good feeling. At east for me it was.

Better yet was sharing a home with a spouse and children but that, of course, only happens if / when you meet the right person 🙂
Without knowing your economic situation, it's impossible to recommend actions.

You sound like someone who should own your home - if not now, then eventually.
