How would you decorate this space?

Finally got around to tidying this corner of our new home 🏡✨ Now I can’t decide what to do with it next 😅. Should I keep it minimalist, or cozy it up with a rug and a few plants? Maybe even a bookshelf or a big floor lamp? How would you decorate this space?

a modern rug, not some bulky persian thing. definitely some plants.

@Matt85 yeah, I'd go with a simple beige rug, but that's more of a bedroom style thing. Modern sounds good!

@NeonBallroom I think that would be nice, though if it's too light it'll show dirt more. Navy blue would be nice too.
