Can you make this type of renovation on a condo?
Suppose you fully purchase two condominium units,one directly underneath the other.Would you be allowed to construct a staircase,or even an elevator,to connect the two units?

You would mostly likely need to check with the building codes for your city. You can get information by calling the Town Hall clerk's office. Also, consult with a professional architect; they will probably get all the necessary permits for you anyway.

Technically it would depend on the quality of the structure and whether it had the integrity to withstand such a change in the design.
