Building my own dream home, myself.

Newest progression pics for those that follow my project. Wired up insulating and covering with actual boards. I hung antique rusty wagon wheels with boat anchors and antique chains to turn into chandeliers in the kitchen, dining, and Livingroom. Started make my own kitchen cabinets too to keep the rustic narrative going as well, I am looking at cabinet door designs and hardware presently for the doors to the cabinets I have built so far.

Antique metal wheels I hung with boat anchors and chain for chandeliers over dining room and kitchen.
Over kitchen towards dining room
Smaller wheels over the living room for lights. You can see the stair railing in the background. Going into the woods today to harvest more poplar trees to finish up the railing upstairs.

@Eddiesolds Thanks and why I call it my dream home. I dreamed about it, and I built it as my dream. Who says dreams can't come true if you work for them.

@WillaKissing I agree.Man what a beautiful dream!

@Eddiesolds A lot of serious blood sweat and tears to get here.
Eddiesolds · 61-69, M
@WillaKissing I believe it. Gosh you must love going home.
WillaKissing · 56-60
@Eddiesolds I am retired and just can't wait to wake up in it once completed.
Eddiesolds · 61-69, M
@WillaKissing That sounds wonderful. How.long do you think that you have to go until its done?
WillaKissing · 56-60
@Eddiesolds Given this economy and the prices of everything. I will live in it once the wiring and plumbing have been completed, and I will finish the interior and add windows as I can. Meanwhile any guest will have to smile when in their rooms and waive at each other showering and using the toilet. Damn this economy.

This is 100% out of my own pocket, no loans so the progress goes as I can buy what I do not have at hand.

@WillaKissing so are you living in another house on the property ?Youre right. Everything is so expensive. Its pretty bad here also. I wish that i could work there with you. Id work my ass off there.

@Eddiesolds I live in an 1180 square foot home that is say 40 to 50 yards downhill from the new build, so you can say I will be moving up in the world once I can move in the home. The old farmhouse had vacancy and water issues before I bought the farm, and I can't see putting a dime into it when I have a dream home I am doing. the old house will come down once I move out of it.

Thanks, but I can't pay for your help/labor it is just a slow and go type deal.

@WillaKissing @WillaKissing Gosh i love this place. Just having that land would be a big dream for me.
WillaKissing · 56-60
@Eddiesolds Yes, the land was my first goal, and I raised my son and daughter here by myself once I moved to the farm. Started the home after the kids were out of high school and off doing their things in life. Hunting fishing forest land and building keep me fit and my mind sharp.
