Because of upstairs having a water heater leak, my closet carpet was saturated and it stinks. 🤢

I had that happen in my first apartment, but it was a very heavy leak at about 2:00 in the morning. I had water flowing from the ceiling for 15 - 20 minutes before maintenance even showed up. Probably the only good thing was the insomnia I had then, so I was aware of the leak right away.
