Veteran's day isn't a "Happy" Day

Every year we honour our Veterans for their service on this day, the 11th Of November, for most of us who served it isn't a "Happy" day, it is a day of remembrance, a day of solemnity, a day to reflect, remember and honour our fallen Brothers and Sisters with respect. There is nothing "Happy" or celebratory about this day so please don't wish Veterans a "Happy Veteran's Day" as there is nothing "Happy" about this day. A simple "Thank you for your service" is a much more appropriate way to say it.

The suffering and loss of veterans is definitely not a happy event. The happiness is when a veteran that feels lost or forgotten has his or her day brightened up by knowing many people respect, appreciate and genuinely care about them. This day truly does have significance.

@CM440 Agreed, so many Veterans come home wounded in either body and/or spirit.
