Veteran's day isn't a "Happy" Day

Every year we honour our Veterans for their service on this day, the 11th Of November, for most of us who served it isn't a "Happy" day, it is a day of remembrance, a day of solemnity, a day to reflect, remember and honour our fallen Brothers and Sisters with respect. There is nothing "Happy" or celebratory about this day so please don't wish Veterans a "Happy Veteran's Day" as there is nothing "Happy" about this day. A simple "Thank you for your service" is a much more appropriate way to say it.

Yes it isnt a happy time for alot of people. God bless them all

The suffering and loss of veterans is definitely not a happy event. The happiness is when a veteran that feels lost or forgotten has his or her day brightened up by knowing many people respect, appreciate and genuinely care about them. This day truly does have significance.

@CM440 Agreed, so many Veterans come home wounded in either body and/or spirit.
We should never forget the sacrifices that our vets made. If it wasn't for them none of us would be free.
You couldn't be any more wrong if you tried. Veterans Day is honor veterans for their service. Memorial day is to honor those who gave it all for their country.

@spjennifer Who does that though?

@Ynotisay See above... 🥴

@spjennifer OK. Bet he won't be eating hot dogs at a Veterans Day BBQ though.

Well this administration certainly doesn't honor veterans dead or alive. They are destroying what we fought for and some died for. The best thing that this country could do to honor those of us that served is to lock everyone one of these socialist, progressive enslaving bastards up.

We honor dead soldiers as a nation with Memorial Day. This is Veterans Day. Different thing.

I agree. I call my brothers and we have a quick chat and never is the word happy uttered
