It will mess with his social security and he enjoys what he does. Gave him a watch, wallet and a wind up radio

I'm on social security and work full time - why does he think it will reduce his pay?
AngelUnforgiven · 51-55, F
@Pretzel i was u der the impression that they reduce it if you are over a certain income threshold but you do get it back
MarineBob · 61-69, M
@Pretzel his wife also gets a good amount of disability. I'm guessing he knows what is best for him

@AngelUnforgiven not if you are in what they call "full retirement age" - you can earn as much as you can earn without a reduction in benefits.

(I felt like I was ready for retirement at age 50 but they wouldn't buy it)

@MarineBob it may have to do with the disability part. That sucks that he could get a lower paying job and make more money than if he got a raise.

@Pretzel got it thanks! Lol and i wish i could have retired at 50 also 🤣🤣🤣 it doesn't hurt to try.
