I learnt long ago that getting pissed off doesn't solve issues esp at work, and there's a time and a place for 'jacking up'...
I did a 13.5 hour shift last night at work starting at 2230 ex rest at Narrabri (from a motel stay after doing an outbound nightshift of 11 hours the previous night starting out of Newcastle) and finished at midday today. So much stuff happened, mostly out of our control, so all we could do was just keep smiling and work safely.
Just the nature of the rail industry. And nearly years of experience working in it.
Now I'm into my days off and will not be doing any overtime. I've been awake now for about 30 hours so time for a 'reset sleep' in my own bed by myself. Tomorrow I start another week with my daughter during the school holidays.
