2024 and Embracing Change

2023 hasn’t been the best, or the worst of years. Mostly it’s been a year of self reflection, of realising that i’ve been stuck in place, of figuring out that i need to be more selfish with my needs and my wants and of deciding that i need a big change. To put myself first, unapologetically. Which is what i plan on doing in 2024. I’m hoping for better days, i’m hoping to fall in love with living again, and i’m hoping that I stop tolerating the things, people and behaviors that aren’t good for me. It’s easy to be brave in writing, but hopefully this attitude translates into action.

Whatever year you’ve had, here’s to a new one that’s more joyful, fuller, happier. Better for you. ❤️

I hope for your, and my, success in reaching our goals in 2024.

Both of us are worth the effort needed.

Like you say, it's easy to be brave in writing but that is a start. 🙂

Cheers to a new and hopefully better year :)
A couple of suggestions:
If someone who with you associate is not beneficial to you (helping you grow or improve) , stop.
Read more of the Stoics and follow their advice which seems applicable to you

@LamontCranston There definitely is a certain serenity in embracing the impermanence of things.

Ahhh....a truly exceptional year-end post from a truly exceptional being of with whom meeting (here on SW) was definitely a 2023 highlight. 👏👏👏👏

There is at least one day next spring *guaranteed* to certainly be joyous for you. Hint: 🎵🎶🎤🎸 💂💂‍♀️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

And back at you 🫶

I have been through the same and 2024 has been a great blessing from God since I put myself first and am moving forward positively.

If you don't put yourself first, nobody else will put you there either. You owe nothing to anyone, but you do owe a lot of unpaid debt to yourself. Just go for it and don't look back!
